Starting The Bird in the Mountains Quest
To initiate this shrine quest, head directly to Rito Village located in the Tabantha region. Search for an NPC named Molli, who stands near one of the wooden walkways during daytime hours. Speaking with her reveals a story about a giant white bird perched high atop a distant mountain peak.
Molli explains that her grandfather once spotted the bird while looking out toward the snow-covered slopes. This atmospheric clue provides the primary directive needed to locate the hidden entrance. Preparing cold-resistant armor or warm food is highly recommended before venturing out into the freezing Hebra region.
Finding the White Bird's Location
Travel northeast from Rito Village toward the Talonto Peak summit in the Hebra Mountains range. Once you reach the peak, position Link so he faces toward the eastern snowfields. Look down carefully from the vantage point to spot a natural white snow formation shaped like a spreading bird.
Glide down toward the center of the bird-shaped formation to locate a hidden cave opening nestled in the cliff face. Land safely at the entrance to discover the hidden shrine nestled inside the mountain. Entering this location officially completes the quest portion and grants access to the shrine trial.
Conquering the Mozo Shenno Shrine Trial
Inside the Mozo Shenno Shrine, players face a combat challenge known as a Major Test of Strength. Prepare powerful weapons, sturdy shields, and high-defense armor before stepping into the arena. You can utilize pillar structures around the room to block charging attacks from the Guardian Scout.
Once the Guardian Scout is defeated, collect the dropped ancient materials and weapon upgrades. Proceed into the final chamber to claim a chest containing a valuable Diamond before interacting with the shrine monk. Receiving the Spirit Orb concludes the entire questline successfully.
